Day 1 post op

Daisy finally woke up at 6:15. A lot earlier than usual but what do you expect from a little girl who hates being out of her comfy zone.  She did very well considering to be honest.
Once again Daisy was setting all the alarms off, because she is now awake and trying to rip off the wires that are connected to the heart monitor. Thankfully the nurse came quickly and unhooked her.

It was about 7am and I’d packed all the bed away and the bedding. Dressed Daisy and fed her. Brad had just set off to come back over to the hospital and I was waiting for the nurse to tell me what the plan was next. 7:45 the nurse told me that we need an X-ray on Daisy to make sure that the cochlear's are in place. Breakfast arrived on the ward, didn't really fancy anything but I had a slice of toast, which Daisy decided to take off me and eat herself. So I had to go back and get some more.
Brad finally arrived after he got lost, and I was so happy to see him. We've only spent 2 nights apart since getting together.
At 10:45 we went down to X-ray and everything was in place and looks great! Such a relief! After we got the all clear from the ENT doctor we was allowed home. You should of seen how fast I packed everything, I couldn’t wait to get out. Daisy’s bandage was allowed to come off, so we choose to keep it on in the car and take it off when we got home. Within 30 minutes of taking it off Daisy for a nose bleed, we found out that this is normal. ( stress over ) it has now stopped and hopefully won’t start again anytime soon.

Daisy is most definitely more active than yesterday. She was even trying to crawl earlier that’s how much she’s changed now in 24 hours. The one thing that will start to change in 24 hours is daisy sticky, blood covered hair that we can’t wash for 4/5 days.
I know it’s not a long wait but still...

Daisy’s scar isn’t to bad to be honest. I don't know what I was expecting but they've done a really good job. No one would  even notice she’s even had anything done front ways And the scar is small too so hardly noticeable and will slowly fade throughout the months/years.

Daisy is now currently fast asleep in her cot. She loved being back at home now. She’s really starting to adjust to her new surroundings now  which
is excellent!

Would like to say a massive thank you to all the well wishes and lovely comments. Means so much to us that you had Daisy in your thoughts and she’s out the operation in one piece and nearly there at the last few times of her hearing journey.
