14 days post op
Daisy is doing so well! I don’t know what I was expecting but I didn’t expect her to bounce back so quickly after a operation like that.
The first weeks she was very groggy and was all mummy but I must admit she did really well considering it was her 3rd night back at the new Home after her operation.
Every little touch to her head would hurt her, but for some reason she’s still try and crawl and fail and hit her head and do it again and again and again.
Daisy had 2 plasters that was covering her stitches, one was half off and daisy thought it would be a good idea to yank it off! I couldn’t believe she did it and didn’t even cry! The second plaster only came off 2 days ago. Thankfully she didn’t pull this one off, bathing it in water and gentle taking it off was the trick.
I do try and get a picture of her scars but her hair covers as they hardly shaved it (YAY). so every picture I get, it’s not very clear. I will try maybe when she’s sleeping.
Only 2 more weeks until activation day and we can’t wait! The day we have all been waiting for the day our little girl hears the world!
Me and brad was talking earlier and we thought Daisy doesn’t even know her name is daisy. When you think of things like that it’s horrible. Because a 9 month old knows there name by then. Daisy is going to be 10 months behind in her development with speech and language. But she might even prove us wrong and be very clever! Time will soon tell.
Soon moves her head to any movements.
This is to determine that is not genetic which we know it’s not and that it is down to the cmv which we also know it is. But we need to do these tests to tick the boxes.
It’s been a hard few months but we’re finally here and the end is very near. Still lots of appointments but the hard bit is done and I’m very thankful for all the doctors and nurses that have looked after Daisy and us. They really do, do a great job and I appreciate everything they do in such long hours.
