Update...
29th March 2017
Its actually been a very quite week for us, just one hospital appointment to get Daisy's new moulds fitted in for her hearing aids. We have they to get them changed every 2 weeks, due to how fast she is growing!
so as soon as we fit some in, we have to create new moulds straight away.
Hearing aids are a nightmare to keep in when the moulds are to small for her ears, we try to keep them in as much as possible but sometimes it's just impossible! specially now that daisy is more active. But we do try our best, I think the longest we've kept in them so far is 5 hours.. which is good going for most people.
There's still no improvement on the hearing side with these hearing aids. A little bit of me just thinks what's the point in trying to keep these hearing aids in when they don't work!
But I'm keeping calm and cool about it all, and just trying my very best for daisy.
Amelia, doesn't quite understand why daisy has to have hearing aids, so we've just been telling her that Daisy has poorly ears. What else can you say to 2 year old who doesn't understand that her sister has hearing loss. So now Amelia is constantly kissing her ears and saying "all better!" ..
Someone asked me the other day would I ever change anything about daisy, my answer was no! because daisy wouldn't be daisy without her hearing loss. This is who is she and I wouldn't change her for the world! Hearing or no hearing she's still our very beautiful little girl, who is going to be a little genius.
Some of the things people come out with though, I've heard all sorts...
- "How do you cope, because I know I wouldn't" ... you learn to deal with this situation, at the end of the day are you going to abandon your child due to a hearing loss? I know I wouldn't!

We hope to have daisy's MRI Scan date come through very soon. All we know that it is in April, just not a date set as of yet.
Each day is getting better, I do have the odd day where I feel down about it all, but who wouldn't.

- " You cant tell she's deaf" ... Well what was you expecting? For daisy not to have any ears.
She is like any other baby. She sleeps, poops, drinks milk, babbles to herself and smiles.. she is a normal baby, and she will do what normal babies do. Just because she has a hearing loss doesn't mean she's any different.
