One Year on...

A whole year?! how has that even happened...
We've just celebrated Daisy's 1st birthday and she had such a fab day! she was surround by all her family and friends and I don't actually think she stopped laughing and smiling all day. She was golden, just like her big sister.
Its crazy to think this time last year we had no clue what was just around the corner and what we was going to find out about our beautiful little girl.  But we've learnt about hearing loss, more than you can ever imagine. We've learnt about hearing aids and cochlear implants. The pros and cons about everything. We feel like we made the best choice for Daisy. Some people may think different, some think like we do. At the end of the day its not permanent decision, when Daisy gets older she can choose if to wear them or not. We've just been very lucky to be able to give her best start in life if she does keep up with the cochlear's.

Talking about sound and Cochlear's Daisy's progress is come on leaps and bounds. SHES FINALLY CRAWLING!!! few days after her 1st birthday and we have her moving! she was so pleased and chuffed with herself. I was crying like most mums do. I've been an emotional wreck all over Daisy's birthday. Just thinking its going to be last time I have a 1 year old. the last time I will probably have a small baby that is mine. its quite sad. unless brad agrees to have another which I can never see happening.  I might aswell just start crying now. And when she started to crawl I just thought my baby is turning into a toddler how can this happen.
Since the last turn up at the start we thought oh god its to loud for her. But she's proved us wrong and is loving life. She's always happy, from waking up, to going to sleep. she is amazing! she takes every day as it comes and takes in new sounds like a champ.
New sounds at the moment is Daisy just blabbering to herself. we honestly cant shut her up. she finds it so funny when she can hear herself talk, she sometimes lets out a little laugh. She great! we love her so much and cant believe how well she is doing.

Considering she's only a 9 week old hearing baby. she's most defiantly ahead of herself.
So much to plan this year to raise as much money as I can both all 3 charity's.
More hospital appointments, and Mapping. all very exciting!

Oh and Daisy had an eye test in January, all was good. need to go back in 6 months when she's much older and they will notice something more at that age If something is going on. But at the moment eyes are perfect just like our little girl.

Sign language courses are going really well. Cant quite believe how much there is to learn but I'm loving it and cant wait to start signing to Daisy more.
